Order In the Court
So, (this is a little late) but, last Friday, our new English room had a .... court session.
8th period - 1:35 PM - Room 211 on the 2nd floor. Heath gets a strange look from the teacher. "What?" He questions. "You didn't come with me at lunch in the ISD room, didja Heath?" The teacher goes. "Well....." Heath looks around the room for about a minute.
After an argument between Heath and the teacher, he is 'sentenced' to come down to the chair next to the teachers desk. The teacher says something along the lines of: "Now, you knew what your punishment was if you didn't come in for ISD lunch today, yes?" Heath remains silent, with a strange look on his face. Everybody recalled from yesterday that if Heath didn't have ISD lunch with the teacher, he would get a full day in the ISD room (In School Detention). Heath has a few people speak for him but no one can say anything positive. The Balif (Bob) takes Heath out of the room while we vote for our decision of Heath's punishment. The choices were called, while our heads were down, by our teacher:
"Raise your hand if you think Heath should have his normal punishment - ISD lunch,"
"OR, raise your hand if you think he should have his planned punishment; Full day of ISD..."
16 people in the class vited for Heath to got to ISD. 2 people voted for ISD lunch.
Well, the 2 people won. Heath got 2 days of ISD lunch, and if he didn't come to THOSE, he would get an ISD, for real.
Heath shouted for victory, and we both darted out of the room. Oh, only if I could have done what I needed to do then...
Bye for now. :)
